Wandle is one of the most successful developers of social housing in south London and we are currently building over 1,300 homes.
We are proud to be a Housing Corporation Development Partner and we have formed the South London Development Partnership formally agreeing to build homes for a number of smaller, non-developing housing associations.
Central to our work are our partnerships with local London Boroughs. We work closely with our core boroughs and have Preferred Partner status in Croydon, Lambeth, Merton, and Sutton as well as in the South West and South East London sub-regions.
We were chosen by the London Borough of Southwark and the residents of the Heygate Estate, with our partners L&Q and Guinness, to build 560 new homes. These new homes will lead the regeneration of the Elephant and Castle.
The Homelessness Initiative Programme has been extended and we now lease 90 homes in Croydon and Sutton helping local authorities to deliver their homelessness strategies.
Wandle's developments span new build, the re-development of older housing stock and some commercial properties. We build lifetime homes for residents, homes that we are proud to manage into the future.
Our annual survey of new homes, consistently provides positive feedback. And we have also received a series of excellent eco-homes ratings which shows our commitment to providing practical and affordable solutions to environmental challenges.
A major factor in our success is our ability to develop non-grant funded projects through local planning agreements and our landbanking policy. Because of our close work with boroughs we are knowledgeable about local needs and can buy land to forward fund new housing development.
We have a reputation for delivery and performance and can be relied on to make difficult projects happen.
