Governance
The Board of Management is responsible for ensuring that Wandle is a well run, efficient and properly governed organisation with a disciplined approached to reviewing its governance framework.
Our transparent approach to recruitment means our Board members have wide-ranging expertise and come from diverse backgrounds. They form a strong Board suitable for governing an association with a high growth profile.
Voluntary board members are formally elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), elected through resident elections (held every 3 years) or appointed through the casual appointments procedure.
Up to one third of Board members can be Wandle residents. The remaining two-thirds are members with a local community connection or relevant skills. Vacancies are filled by advertisement or nomination.
The Board meets formally six times a year and members also serve on the Housing Services Committee, the Finance & Development Committee, Governance Committee and Audit Committee.
Wandle's Chief Executive and Directors are responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation which is regulated by the Housing Corporation and complies with the National Housing Federation's Code of Governance.
A full copy of the our Code of Governance is available on request from the company secretary.
