Market Rent

We also rent a small number of properties at market rent.

This means that we own and develop homes and rent them out at the same levels as a private landlord would. Market rents are not subsidised at all.

We use the income we get from market rent to support other projects – and tenants under the market rent scheme benefit from our experience as a long established social housing landlord.

Market rent tenants are given a six month Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement. This means you must stay a tenant for at least six months before giving us notice. Anybody who is in full time employment and can afford the rent may apply for one of our market rented homes.
