Managing Rents and Arrears

Prompt Payment Is Important

It is very important that you pay your rent and service charges on time because the money we receive is used to fund a wide range of services.

If you are experiencing money problems and struggling to pay your rent please contact us as soon as possible before you fall into arrears. We will do our best to make sure you get the help and advice you need.

On the other hand, we take a tough line with people who fall into arrears and make no attempt to contact us or agree how they will clear their debt. Please note that you could end up in court and lose your home if this happens.

If you need Housing Benefit to pay your rent, please make sure you provide any information they need as quickly as possible so that your claim can be processed promptly. We can provide advice if you run into any problems.

It is very important that you let the Housing Benefit office know if your circumstances change as your payments may need to be adjusted.
