Employee Benefits
Wandle offers an employment package that compares favourable with other housing associations. Our package includes:
- Salary: the starting salary will normally be at the entry point of the scale quoted in the advert, rising to the basic point once a satisfactory probation period is completed. All pay scales are reviewed annually for any cost of living increase, payable from April each year. Wandle operate a performance related pay scheme of between 1% to 4% of annual salary. We also operate an annual bonus scheme linked to performance, which is paid at Wandle's discretion.
- Annual Leave: basic annual leave entitlement of 25 days, which increases by 1 day per year for the first 5 years of employment (up to a maximum of 30 days). Wandle's offices close between Christmas and New Year, which means staff have an extra 2 days at Christmas in addition to the public holidays. Part-time staff receive a pro-rata entitlement.
- Working Hours: a 35 hour working week, which can be worked on a flexi-time basis (with flexi hours of 7am to 7pm and core hours of 10am to 4pm). Wandle's normal hours of work are 9:00am to 5:00pm with an hour for lunch. Agreed working hours (including weekend and public holiday working) are agreed with Support Care staff.
- Pension Scheme: all staff on contracts of 6 months or more are eligible to join the contributory Social Housing Pension CARE (Career Average Related Earnings) Scheme.
