Equality & Diversity
Valuing Diversity
Wandle Housing Association recognises that we work in a diverse and multi-racial society in which many groups and individuals are disadvantaged.
We believe that diversity benefits society and we are committed to playing a positive role in combating discrimination and we want to ensure equality of opportunity.
We will not treat anyone less favourably because of their race, colour, ethnic origin, sex, age, religion, disability, sexuality, marital status or responsibility for dependants.
Staff (at all levels) are recruited from all sections of the community and we try to ensure that our workforce reflects the composition of the communities and areas where we work.
Applicants for posts at Wandle are considered against the same criteria and are given the opportunity to compete on equal terms.
We do collect and monitor the records of race, gender and disability of all those applying to us for jobs, to help fulfill our commitment to equality and diversity. Monitoring forms are used for statistical purposes only, and are kept separate from application forms, and are not shown to those involved in shortlisting.
