Wandle has a long history of working for and with local people and organisations. We know the quality of our relationships with our partners - residents, funders, local authorities and other organisations - is critical to our success.
We believe in building strong grass-roots relationships, helping local authorities to deliver their strategic priorities, and working with local people and communities to deliver excellent services to residents.
Working in partnership with other housing associations, the police, youth services and other organisations we've delivered workshops and events on effectively tackling antisocial behaviour - training residents in mediation techniques and non-violent communications.
Financial inclusion is a priority and we've worked closely with Wandsworth Citizens Advice Bureau and Croydon Caribbean Union to help residents manage their budgets and to look at opportunities for savings and benefits of affordable loans.
Residents in our street properties can feel isolated and we're working with Safer Neighbourhood Teams, local councillors and Care Line to provide forums for residents so we can tackle issues they raise in a more co-ordinated way.
We work with a number of agencies to provide housing to residents who need additional support. In 2008 we launched an agency forum and this was so successful that we are now holding it twice yearly - allowing us to work more effectively with the agencies concerned and provide improved services to residents.
