Theme: Driving Things Forward

Key achievements included:

Receiving £21 million from the Housing Corporation to develop new homes - the ninth largest award in the country.
Being chosen as a Preferred Partner by the London Borough of Merton.
Playing a key role in the development of the Linden Grove Estate in Southwark, and
Committing to the development of environmentally friendly schemes such as Rutlish Road, Merton and Bishopsford Road, Sutton.
Setting up a dedicated front-line Customer Services Team to deal with freephone enquiries and an Income and Leasehold Team to handle all rent and service charge issues.
Reorganising the Supported Housing Team to meet the changing needs of residents and launching a supported housing scheme, aimed at Asian elders, with the London Borough of Wandsworth.
Appointing a second Community Development Officer to strengthen our approach to resident involvement.
Introducing the Wandle Incentive Scheme in Wandsworth and Merton - providing a financial incentive for residents under-occupying their homes to move.
Carrying out a Best Value Review of our Maintenance Service.
Acquiring Grange Housing Association, enabling Wandle to establish a group structure with a non-charitable subsidiary.
Going live with Wandle's website and establishing our internal intranet.
