2005-06 Annual and Residents Report

Theme: Creating Thriving Neighbourhoods

Key achievements included:

Showing a dramatic increase in properties (44%), staff (58%), capital expenditure (146%) and turnover (73%) over the last three years.
Continuing to receive high levels Housing Corporation funding (£56 million for 2006/8 – enough to build 412 new homes)
Launching two commercial companies - Wandle Developments and Delta Homes - to achieve 'value for money' in all our new developments
Receiving good feedback - most of the residents who completed our 2006 Satisfaction Survey said we were doing a good job and we received positive feedback from Solon residents who transferred to us in 2005.
Performing well on equality and diversity, Our Investors in People assessment said “equality and diversity are integrated parts of how Wandle operates, not merely a bolt on policy". We also met or exceeded our targets on black and minority ethnic lettings and staff and board members.
Making good progress on Decent Homes, with 91% of properties already meeting the Government Standard
Providing extra support to 638 Wandle residents.
