Current situation

Following the government announcement on 4 January 2021, putting a new lockdown in place until at least mid-February, we have reviewed our services, and what we can safely deliver. 

We take the safety of our residents, staff and partners very seriously, and this has been at the forefront of our decision-making, alongside government and public health advice. All our changes are to reduce the risk of Covid-19 spreading, while delivering services, as far as reasonably possible. With immediate effect: 

  • Estate inspections and visits will not generally take place. We will be in contact with our resident champions who alerted us to any urgent issues during the first lockdown to see if they are able to help again.   • The repairs service is moving to emergency and urgent repairs only. An emergency or urgent repair is one that is needed to keep people safe, or to prevent further damage to the property. 

    • If you have a routine repair booked, a member of the team will be in touch to reschedule to a later date.  
    • If you have a new repair, please contact us and our team will advise if we are able to respond for urgent repairs or defer for non-urgent repairs
    • Repairs in communal and external areas will continue as normal. 
  • Any planned major works defined as essential, or with minimal risk, will continue. These include the windows and doors programme, and any health and safety works.  

    • We are suspending planned works inside homes, like kitchen and bathroom replacements, because the works cannot be carried out without risk of spreading the virus at this time. 
  • Electrical safety and gas safety checks will continue, and it is very important that you allow us access to complete these if we have made an appointment. 

  • Communal cleaning, including all health and safety checks in communal areas continue to operate.  

Our staff and contractors continue to work in a Covid-19 Secure way. All services are dependent on the well-being of our contractors and staff, and our measures are to limit their exposure to the virus but if they become unwell, there could be strains on these services over the coming weeks. We appreciate your support and understanding at this time. 

We will continue to review our services and we hope to resume full services as soon as possible, subject to further government and public health guidance.
