Wandle celebrates milestone at landmark Southwark scheme

Wandle has helped celebrate a significant milestone in the construction of Bermondsey Works this summer, a landmark 19-storey development in Southwark where it will soon provide new affordable homes for local people.

Staff from Wandle New Homes joined forces with Telford Homes, the scheme’s lead developer, and its partners to mark the completion of its 60m-high concrete structure.

Tool belt to suit in two years for construction apprentice

A young south London apprentice has gone from wearing a tool belt to a suit in just two years thanks to a trainee programme run in partnership with Wandle and Crest Nicholson.

JJ, aged 22, has risen through the ranks whilst helping a construction team build new affordable housing for Wandle at Crest Nicholson’s Valentine Place development in Southwark.

Independent Croydon charity given £5,000 to boost career prospects of local people

An independent Croydon charity which works to help improve the career prospects of local people has received a major boost this year thanks to £5,000 grant funding from Wandle.

Advice Support Knowledge Information, known as ASKI, provides specialist employability training to adults and young people in Croydon on themes including leadership, public speaking and mentoring.
