Celebrating its fourteenth year, Gas Safety Week helps to raise awareness of the dangers of poorly maintained gas appliances. Poorly maintained appliances could cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.
It’s important to be in the know about gas safety, to keep you and your home safe.
Here are some gas safety tips:
- Always get an annual gas safety check
- Obtain a gas safety certificate
- Book an annual boiler check
- Get a carbon monoxide alarm fitted
- Only use gas appliances for their intended purpose
- Know what to do in an emergency
